@@_Imsosorry_ chicken is processed in chaotic conditions and can contain several kinds of bacteria on the surface. The reason rinsing chicken is frowned upon is because you can spread the bacteria to the sink and countertops if you are not careful. It is a legitimate concern but I am careful and have never had a problem. Is rinsing necessary? Hard to say. It may not be.

What it shows is that there is no barrier to entry. Nothing more.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not a worthwhile endeavor. Why do anything? Why race cars around in a circle? Why bash your head in and destroy your knees fighting over a pigskin?
